Call for Submissions: COVID19 Poems

Smiling Eyes Press, a Montreal-based publishing house, is accepting submissions for our first COVID19 poetry book until January 30, 2021. We are looking for poetry written in English and French about experiences during the pandemic. The book is scheduled to be published on March 12, 2021. The book will be found on Amazon.ca, as well as printed locally in the Montreal area. All work submitted is not remunerated, and 100% of the proceeds will go to the Saint-Vincent de Paul food bank, located in Lachine, Quebec.

Submissions should include your name, contact information, where you live (no address required), and the poem’s title. The Smiling Eyes Press team will choose the poems that will be part of the book.

Smiling Eyes Press is accepting up to three submissions.

Editorial review: Smiling Eyes Press will not accept content in any derogatory nature. Given the heart of the poetry, it is not our intention to change, modify or manipulate content. The author of a poem will be contacted for clarification of content, if necessary. 

Original content: All submitted content must be original, your work and not from a third-party. In your submission by email, please attest to the originality of the content.

Call for Submissions: COVID19 cover illustration for poetry book.

Smiling Eyes Press, a Montreal-based publishing house is accepting submissions for our first COVID19 poetry book until January 30, 2021.

We are looking for potential cover illustrations related to experiences during the pandemic. The book, title yet to be determined, is scheduled to be published on March 12, 2021. The book will be found on Amazon.ca, as well as printed locally in the Montreal area, and 100% of the proceeds will go to the Saint-Vincent de Paul food bank, located in Lachine, Quebec.

Submissions should include your name, contact information, where you live (no address required), and the illustration title. The Smiling Eyes Press team will choose the poems that will be part of the book.
